英訳お願いします

論文を英訳しなくてはいけないのですが、以下の部分の訳が出来ません

長文で申し訳ないのですがどなたか分かる方、力を貸してください

アイデンティティーとは人格における存在証明である。自分が何者であるかを知り、自分が自分であることを確信することで、自己同一性と訳される。アイデンティティーには、自分が過去から現在、そして未来に向かって連続しているという連続性の自覚と、どんな場所にいても自分は自分であり、他の人から区別されるという感覚の2種類がある。そして、そんな自分が、自分に対して肯定的に受け入れられていることが重要である。また、この自分らしさは、自分だけではなく、他からも認められなければならない。

アイデンティティーに関する『不思議の国のアリス』の場面には以下のようなものが挙げられる。まず、チェシャ猫との会話でアリスがどのような人格を持っていようと、自分一人ではそれを証明できず、人格における存在証明は成立しなくなりアイデンティティーは認められない。次に、不思議の国自体がもともとアリスの属していた社会ではない為、アリスは不思議の世界（帽子屋たちのお茶会など）に上手く溶け込むことができない。このことから、自分がどの社会にも属することが出来るとは限らないということが言える。最後に、アリスはお菓子やキノコを食べて体が大きくなったり小さくなったりする。そのせいで蛇やネズミに間違われ、自分が誰なのか分からなくなってしまう。体の大きさの急激な変化にアリスは戸惑うが、丸いキノコの両側を手に入れ体の大きさを自由に操作できるようになった時、アリスは楽しみながら冒険を進めてゆく。最後にハートの女王に名前を聞かれた時には「私の名前はアリスだ」と答えられるようになっている。これは、アリスが自分のアイデンティティーを確立させていく過程であり、ルイスは子供たちにアイデンティティーを意識させる為に、意図的にこれを多用したと思われる。



今回『不思議の国のアリス』を例にアイデンティティーの問題を挙げたが、それらは全て身近に起こりうるものであった。アリスは自分が何者なのか分からなくなり、自己実現の為に悩み葛藤し成長していく。ルイスは物語を通して子供たちにアイデンティティーの問題を示唆し、それを確立させるための手助けをしたかったのだろう。アリスは、青年期の私たちの姿そのものであり、不思議の国は物語の中の世界ではなく現実の、アリス・リデルにこれから起こりうる可能性のあるアイデンティティーの課題を比喩的に書き表したものだと言える。

Identity in general refers to 'proof of the existance of a person'.

The Japanese traslation of the word identity

is 'jiko doitsusei' (self-sameness) which means knowing

who you are, and convincing yourself of being yourself.

In order to confirm your own identity, you need to

satisfy two kinds of conditions; being aware of the continuity

of your existance from the past through the present

toward the future, and having a feeling that

you are distinguished from others no matter where you are.

In addition to these basic conditions, you need to view yourself

in a positive way. In the humane society, not only yourself,

but also others should recognize that you are none but yourself.



In a popular Disney movie titled 'Alice in the Wonderland'

there are scenes which express well what indentity is like.

For example, in conversations between Alice and Cheshire Cat,

Alice can not prove herself alone without common perceptions

to share, as the cat does not recognize her personality.

The Wonderland itself is not the place Alice has originally

belonged. So she has trouble blending into

the unfamiliar communities such as hatter's tea party.

In this way, people are not always able to fit in with

any societies.



As Alice is shrunk or enlarged with mushrooms and cakes,

she is mistaken to be a snake or a rat, and gets a confused

sense of her identity. After she figures out how to control

her size, she becomes more positive for her adventure, and finally

becomes able to answer "I am Alice" when Queen of Hearts

asks her name. This is the process in which Alice re-establishes

her identity, and the author Lewis Carroll seems to intentionally

have used this (これって、何を指してらっしゃるのでしょう?）

repeatedly to make her readers aware that identity of a person

was based on social recognition/common code/source of recognition.

This time, I showed examples of identity crisis and recovery,

from Alice in Wonderland. Those problems possibly happen

to anyone in our society. Alice is once confused

and loses her sense of being herself, but later mentally grows

and learns through trial and error in her efforts for

her self-realization.

Perhaps, Lewis intended to show the indentity problems

to children while helped them establish it. Alice is

just what we are like in the period of adolescence.

The Wonderland is not just a fake society, the story

would be written as metaphor for possible problems of identity,

which any adolescents including Alice Liddell experience

in the process of our psychological growth.

自分で書いていてなんですが、

上の英文は、高校の宿題にしては上手く書きすぎていて

大学以上の専門の論文にしては、あちこち言葉足らずだと思います。

（何を規範にアイデンティティが確立されるか、という

説明や説得力に改善が必要かと...）
